Weathervane Quilt Block Pattern
The Weathervane quilt block is an intricate-looking quilt block
that uses four templates to make up the motif. Used alone or in
combination with alternating blocks or bands of color, this block
is extremely versatile.
The pieces are stitched into sub-unit squares that are then sewn together to create the nine-patch block. This makes stitching the pattern far easier than it looks at first glance.
Using three, four or five color combinations gives the blocks a completely different look, depending on how the colors are put together in the sub-units.
