Completed star quilt top measures about 85” x 106” without border. There are 20 pieced blocks 15” square which are set on the diagonal 4 across and 5 vertical. Cut 12 blocks of white 15 1/2” square. Seven blocks 16” square are cut diagonally to make half blocks for edges of quilt. One 16 1/2” square block is cut diagonally into fourths for corner blocks.
Suggested border (as shown) is a 2” strip of white 110” long for each side and 2” x 89” for each end. Miter corners. Bind in red or blue. Quilt may be closely cross quilted.
Yardage requirements: 8 yards white, 1 1/8 yards blue, 1 1/8 yards red.
