Setting Quilt:

Stitch Blocks together.

Fill-ins:

Place quilt on floor; slip a sheet of wrapping paper under edge; trace off triangle between blocks; cut out to use as pattern. Cut 18 such triangles from White, allow 1/2” around outside edge for seams. Repeat for corner fill-ins. Stitch in place around quilt.

Border:

Cut 6 strips each 5 1/2” wide. Stitch 2 strips together for each side border. Find center points of strips; top, bottom and sides of quilt. Matching these center points, stitch strips to quilt, making 1/4” seams. Miter the corners.

Lining and Interlining:

Cut 1” smaller around than quilt. Place quilt, wrong side up, on floor; interlining on top; lining (right side up, smooth out wrinkles) on top of interlining. Baste from center out. Turn in border seam allowance (1/4”); whip-stitch in place.

Quilting:

Use fine running stitch and matching thread to quilt around each unit. If desired, quilt fill-ins in diamond pattern – diagonal lines crossing each other, spaced 1/2” apart.
