Double 143; 72 Pieced and 71 Plain.
Lining – Percale sheet; launder and cut to size.
Double Size – Cut 71 blocks, each 8 inches square.
Double Size – Follow instructions given above for Single Size, making 7 A-strips, each 11 blocks across; and 6 B-strips, each 11 blocks across.

(All yardages specified are approximate and of 36” wide fabrics unless otherwise stated.)Single Size:
1 1/2 yards of Green, 1 1/2 yards of Orange and 1 3/8 yards of White for Pieced Blocks; 4 yards of White for Plain Blocks; 1 5/8 yards of Green for Border.Lining – Percale sheet; launder and cut to size.
Pieced Blocks:
Starting at center with a Green A unit, add 4 white A units; then 4 Green B units; continue to work toward outer edge adding units as shown in Block Diagram.Plain Blocks:
Single Size – Cut 42 blocks, each 8 inches square.Double Size – Cut 71 blocks, each 8 inches square.
Setting Quilt:
Single Size – Starting with a pieced block and alternating with a plain block, make 6 A-strips, each 7 blocks across. Make 6 B-strips, each 7 blocks across, starting with a plain block and alternating with a pieced block. Stitch these strips together, starting with an A-strip and alternating with B-strips.Double Size – Follow instructions given above for Single Size, making 7 A-strips, each 11 blocks across; and 6 B-strips, each 11 blocks across.
